Please note that AHUA conferences are for members only.   The title of the conference is ‘The Healthy University’, a theme we’ll be exploring in its broadest sense.  Speakers will cover not just the important issues of staff and student physical and mental wellbeing, but also what institutions are doing to maintain their financial health, support local communities and create sustainable international partnerships.  Our final panel session will discuss how university governance can rise to the challenge of supporting and leading a healthy and vibrant sector. The programme will encompass a range of plenary and workshop sessions and speakers will include:
  • Professor Trevor McMillan, Vice Chancellor, Keele University
  • Professor of Health and Sustainability, Mark Dooris, UCLAN
  • Dr Diana Walford, Chair at Regent’s University
  • Martha Longdon, Student board member at OfS
AHUA’s conferences are an excellent opportunity not only to hear from and discuss issues with expert speakers, but also to meet up with old friends and make new contacts. Members come from throughout the UK and from many different types of institution. Conference host, Helen Galbraith, and her team look forward to welcoming you to Keele in September.
